So, I know that this story broke a few days ago, and in Celeb time it is HISTORY. But I love to gash up history and stomp and stomp all over it, because I can never let things go and I am always trying to read into regrets in the past that I should walk away from … ANY hoodle … Back to Britney’s Bra.

We all know what the story is. Britney has GRACIOUSLY donated items to Ebay to have auctioned for victims in the Hurricane Ravaged areas. THIS is what GETS me about this story. Britney is like a multi-millionaire. And she is donating items that I can GUARANTEE she received from designers and such FOR FREE. SO, she didn’t pay a lick for it, and for her to THROW it out because she will never use it again doesn’t cost her anything EITHER. Therefore….she is giving NOTHING to charity. She is banking on the fact that fans who don’t have nearly as much money as she does will shell out their college funds to have some stupid diamond-encrusted bra or whatever that Britney may have worn for 30 seconds and then never looked at again. She is BANKING on the designers and such who give her things for free … and she turns around to RESELL to practically make a profit. And, according to her, this is helping the needy. WHAT A SKANK. I am SORRY. But if she REALLY wanted to help … she’d just write a CHECK herself. SERIOUSLY … what is the deal with all these celebrities doing these benefits to raise money for charity??? COME ON!!! The celebrities aren’t dishing out their own cash!!! They just make a ten minute appearance on TV, and want all of us viewers to call in a hand out cash– forgetting that most Americans are TRULY classified as Lower Middle Class society, making no more than 30,000 a year???? GIVE ME A BREAK. I am SICK of celebrities seeming SO willing to help, and then they do these promos on TV asking US to donate all the money we can …. and they write HOW many checks?? ZEROOOOOO

Please don’t take this as a disregard to those in need because of the Hurricane Disasters. I COMPLETELY feel they are definitely in need and my heart and prayers go out to them all. My husband and I have given as much as we can in church, and donated to the Salvation Army and Red Cross. But these celebrity promo ads are getting on my last nerve. FOR every celebrity who has said that we need to give more … If each gave one million of what they have themselves …. We’d probably hit that 250 billion in a DAY. PERIOD.
