Khloe Kardashian‘s PETA campaign is causing a lot of discussion and negative media over the K sister’s past wearing of fur and her seemingly ongoing wearing and support of leather hides.

Would Khloe rather wear fur if not for her career advancement?

Aside from the snarky photo editorialism, we want to just point out that leather hides are not the same thing as wild critter fur pelts. Farmed animals aren’t usually treated nearly “well”, but how many of us are vegans? And killing is killing, but even hunting deer is not the same thing as the cruelty of the fur practice. And again neither is farming, so when Pamela Anderson wears Uggs from farmed lambs, well, sorry but all fur is not “created” equally bad.

Khloe Kardashian wearing leather
So, so what if Khloe continues to wear leather jackets and famous designer handbags? And yes, even so what if her family shop (like she has all the say anyway) promotes genuine leather articles? (Although there is currently nothing made of leather or even a single handbag at the online version: shopdashonline.com, hmmm.) The ad is about fur, anyway.

Everyone in the entertainment industry — from Khloe Kardashian to “Perez Hilton” to Deceiver.com to Kiss My Starse (us) to PETA (yes, they’re a form of an entertainment group) — we all love sensationalism and publicity to some extent. And well, this is our take on it. A chilled out one, we suppose.
But this is Ella, Designer Ella, who loves handbags and uses deer leather from Native Americans in her designing (debuting soon). And well, I’m one who hates PETA and would rather use skins from human PETA members than well, go even purse-less.
I mostly jest.
