Forget Apple and Moses. Forget Suri. Even Bluebell.
These names sound downright common when compared with the children of comedian-magician Penn Jillette, the talking half of Penn and Teller.
This past Monday, Jillette and his wife Emily welcomed their second child, a baby boy, and named him Zolten Penn Jillette.
The new addition to the family, whom Jillette described as weighing 8 pounds, 13 ounces and having X-ray vision, joins his 11 month old sister, Moxie CrimeFighter Jillette.
When asked about the name, Jillette replied, “Zolten is a common Hungarian name, it’s my wife’s maiden name and most importantly, it’s the name of Dracula’s dog.”
Well, I guess those are good reasons. I would like to know where Moxie CrimeFighter came from, though…

Penn has said that people with normal names are just lame, or something similar. I’ve always wondered if Penn didn’t stand for Pennilton. THAT would be lame.

Maybe Penn himself was named after State Penitentiary of Pennsylvania, usually called the State Penn for short.

I agree, it’s a weird name, but definitely not the oddest. Or are we forgeting Nick Cage’s Kal-El?

You know Kate, you are absolutely right. Kal-El is probably one of the oddest names of all time! But, just give Penn a chance to have more children and we’ll see what else he can come up with…

Oh, come on, Moxie Crimefighter!
