Rodrigo Santoro will be joining the third season’s cast of Lost this fall. We may not be too familiar with his work, but Rodrigo has starred in critically-acclaimed Brazilian film Carandiru and Behind the Sun (among others), and has picked up eight best-actor awards in the process.
Despite Rodrigo’s good looks, Lost’s co-creator Damon Lindelof has insisted that “[Rodrigo's] certainly not interested in being the hunk in Lost, nor are we interested in writing that for him.” Darn. Still, there’s hope yet: Lindelof did admit that “The ladies like it when he takes his shirt off.” Ooh, now we’re getting somewhere.
