Christina Aguilera Graces the Cover of GQ

Christina Aguilera once-again dolls up like Marylin Monroe, this time even posing nude like the legendary beauty. All for the June issue of GQ and all for her upcoming album release. (I’m excited!)

Aguilera’s new album, Back to Basics, due to drop in a couple of months, blends a vintage-soul sound with state-of-the-art beatsmanship to form a throwback/hip-hop showcase for her outsize voice. Interweaving a Weimar-cabaret theme, it is decidedly a concept album. “In the end, it’s really cool to just follow a set vision,” she says. “I think it makes for a better product.”

We at Lipped Media (the fashion network) agree with that sentiment.

To promote the album, Aguilera is planning a tour of jazz clubs, including the blue-chip Blue Note, a New York institution.

I really am excited, this sounds like it could be great. But I really want to see less skank and hear no dirty, otherwise I’ll be too turned off to listen or care. Xtina, it’s about the talent.
